First Lithium Battery Bicycle
in Taiwan!With advance
technology, PV-2001 will enter the global market
POWER VISION CORP., E-One Moli Energy and A-Pro Corp. will introduce the newly developed Lithium-ion cell bicycle to the world in 2001. With this high-profile collaboration effort, there is no doubt that they have lead the way to a whole new market segment for the domestic bicycle makers.
Named PV-2001, this electric bicycle equipped with a superb motor that generates high torque. The motor offers a five-speed gearbox and is capable to claim a 180 slope. One special function of the PV-2001 is that it was designed to be self-rechargeable at forth gear in high speed.
E-One Moli Energy designed the battery to have a high yield rate (91%), high power density, lightweight, environmental friendly and without memory effect. And most importantly, the self-rechargeable function allows the PV-2001 to avoid the limitation of ordinary lithium cell’s problem of unable to supply high output electricity during a long course of time. Because of these added values, PV-2001 is above anything in its class, some might even say PV-2001 is as good as the paddled electrical bicycles.
PV-2001’s very slick industrial design came from bicycle maker A-Pro Corp., The prototype, completed performance test on the 19th. Its body is made of titanium, thus the bicycle is able to sustain extreme torment yet remains light weighted (13.8kg) and portable/foldable to fit into a car trunk. The rechargeable battery motor offers a five-speed gearbox and has the power reservation capability to keep the bicycle running continuously for 40km with the maximum speed of 30km/h.
Although Sony introduced something similar in Tokyo International Bicycle show, but through the collaboration of POWER VISION CORP., E-One Moli Energy and A-Pro Corp., PV-2001 remains the smallest and lightest battery powered bike ready for mass production.
