E-One Moli is a highly technical specialized company in the field of Lithium Cell design, and in the very near future we will also become the first lithium cell manufacturer in Taiwan. With the production output of 1kk monthly to satisfy the increasing global demand for mobile phone batteries, E-One is without a doubt a total solution provider for Lithium cell power.
The balance of supply and demand for lithium cell is tipped due a the booming CE, IT and Networking industry; the more common NiMH cell is gradually been replaced by Lithium cell because of lithium cell’s advantage in light weight and shorten charging time.
According to E-One Moli Vice-GM, Mr. Chung Saw, Taiwan is self-sustain market for lithium cell manufacture because all the OEM/ODM cell phone makers and notebook manufactures are here. Thus, E-one made the bull move to locates its primary manufacturing facilities in domestically.
In fold, Japanese cell makers still control the core competency of Lithium Cell technology, The incentive for E-One to acquire a first-class production line is the demand for Secondary Lithium Cell expected to grow at the rate of 30% world wide, and Taiwan acquires half of that total demand because of its special OEM/ODM position in Notebook computers and CE devices. E-One is set to gain price competitive and logistic competence.
The manufacturing facility in TaiNian Science Park is close to operational; in June, we estimated to have the production capacity of 1million per month. In the likely case of surge in cell supply, we will start to construct the second production line to satisfy the market demand. E-One believes with the increase purchasing quantity and the collaborations from domestic CE makers, Taiwan based cell companies will soon be able to break the “”glass ceiling” of technical know-how and material import quota.
